2018 February 22-25 – Centering Prayer Intensive Retreat. Directed by Contemplative Outreach Birmingham Presenters Team
Benedictine Sisters Retreat Center- Cullman, AL  Focus: The Welcoming Prayer. The Welcoming Prayer is about ” letting go”. It is a method of consenting to God’s presence and action in our physical and emotional reactions to events and situations in daily life. Its purpose is to deepen our relationship with God through consenting in the ordinary activities of our day. The director, Sue Miller, has been active in practicing Centering Prayer for over 20 years and has been interested in the study of the Welcoming Prayer since 2008. She is a Centering Prayer presenter and has led Intensive Centering Prayer retreat weekend programs and has attended two 5-Day Welcoming Prayer Immersion workshops. Sue is currently on the Leadership Team for Contemplative Outreach and is the co-contact leader for prayer groups in the Huntsville/Madison/Decatur area.

2018 Aug 31-Sept 2. Introduction to Centering Prayer Retreat at Benedictine Sisters Retreat Center- Cullman, AL.  Centering Prayer is a receptive method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer, in which we experience God's presence within us, closer than breathing, closer that thinking, closer than consciousness itself. This retreat is for those seeking to learn this practice of prayer for the first time or for those who want to renew or strengthen their practice during this weekend of silence and reflection.
